Real Valladolid and Parma Calcio are reportedly in talks to secure a loan deal for Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo during the ongoing January transfer window.
Aidoo, who suffered an Achilles tendon rupture in October 2023, has struggled to regain consistent playing time despite recovering from the injury. While the defender has shown signs of improvement, fierce competition in Celta Vigo’s defensive line has limited his opportunities.
Since returning from injury, Aidoo has made only three appearances—two in the Copa del Rey and one in La Liga—raising concerns about his playing time. His representatives have reportedly requested a loan move this winter to ensure he gets regular minutes on the pitch.
Both Real Valladolid and Italian Serie A side Parma Calcio have expressed interest in acquiring Aidoo on loan until the end of the season. The clubs are said to be willing to cover half of his salary to finalize the deal.
Aidoo, who has been out of the Ghana national team for over a year, is eager to return to competitive football and potentially reclaim his spot in the Black Stars squad. A successful loan stint could prove crucial in reviving his career and boosting his chances of a national team recall.
