In-form Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo was on target for AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon against Manchester City FC.

The Ghana international was the tormentor in chief for the cherries who should have beaten the Citizens by a wider margin than the final score suggested.

Semenyo scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up after a fine control, turn and strike inside the goal area as the first half ended with the hosts noses in front.

Semenyo could’ve doubled the lead for the home team after seeing off Kyle Walker and Manuel Akanji but opted to not shoot at goal as the opportunity went begging.

In tthe second half of the match, the home team continued to be a threat upfront and came close several times to adding to their tally.

Semenyo again played a big part in the Cherries second goal scored By Evanilson after Milos Kerkez second assist on the night.

Josko Gvardiol scored a header late in the game to make it 2-1 but Bournemouth stood their grounds and soaked the pressure to beat Man City for the first time in the Premier League.

The Ghana international has four goals this season in England top-flight with big teams chasing after his signature.
