Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo scored twice as IF Elfsborg won again on matchday 27 in the Swedish Allsvenkan on Monday.
The 24-year-old scored twice as his team defeated AIK 3-0 at home to maintain their lead atop the league table.
Baidoo scored in the 14th minute of the game to give his team a well-deserved lead. In the final third, he intercepted an opposing throw before his blocked ball to a teammate dropped kindly for him.
Elfsborg went into the halftime break with a 2-0 advantage thanks to Johan Larsson’s goal.
Baidoo scored from the penalty spot in the 79th minute, extending his team’s lead to three goals.
With three games remaining till the end of the season, Elfsborg has reclaimed first place in Sweden’s top division.
With his brace on Monday, Baidoo has now scored five goals and provided six assists in 26 league games this season for the club.
