‘Rejected Stone’ Patrick Razak bounced back in style as he came from the bench to score against one of his favorite opponents Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC on Friday evening to cause them a nightmare.

The diminutive winger scored the winner for the Rainbow Boys when they beat their bitterest rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The two teams squared off in the 2022 President’s Cup and couldn’t be separated until the introduction of the speedster, Razak, who grabbed the winning goal for the Accra-based club.

Razak has been a surplus to requaiment at the club ever since he missed an open goal in the early stages of the 2021-22 season against Obuasi Ashantigold SC at the Len Clay Stadium.

He was almost on his way out of the club after falling way behind in the pecking order at the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League and MTN FA CUP winners.

On Friday and when it mattered most, the former AS Horoya man grabbed the all important goal for the Phobians who won 2-1 to lift their third trophy in less than a year.

Razak has always been performing wonders against Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC and is gradually becoming their nightmare as he always find a way to hurt the Porcupine Warriors.

Razak was set free on goal by Kwadwo Obeng Junior in the 89th minute of the match and round the Kotoko goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad to put the ball into an open net to make sure the Phobians lifted its fifth President’s Cup.
