According to reports from Kickgh.com, highly talented youngster Baba Yahaya is on the verge of joining the prestigious Asante Kotoko from King Faisal.
At just 21 years old, Yahaya has showcased his immense potential and consistency over the past two seasons with outstanding performances for King Faisal. He has established himself as their key playmaker, often relied upon to guide the team to victory, especially against defensively minded opponents.
In the league, he contributed three goals in 33 matches, including a remarkable strike against Legon Cities in Abrankese a few weeks ago. His impressive displays have caught the attention of the Porcupine Warriors.
Speculations suggest that Kotoko has already made contact with Yahaya and his representatives, and negotiations have reached an advanced stage, with a deal likely to be agreed upon in the coming weeks. It is reported that talks have progressed to around 80% completion, indicating a high possibility of a successful transfer.
King Faisal FC, unfortunately, has been relegated to the country’s second-tier league after finishing 17th in the top-flight. However, there is still a chance for them to remain in the top division if they win their protest case against Tamale City.
In the meantime, the gifted playmaker is expected to feature for King Faisal in the upcoming FA Cup final against Dreams FC. It is likely to be his final appearance in the green and white shirt before his anticipated move to Asante Kotoko.
