According to Kessben Sports, Asante Kotoko has officially ended its association with video analyst Boudjabi Nazim Mohammed Islam.
The decision comes after the Kumasi-based club settled two out of three months’ worth of outstanding salary arrears owed to the Algerian analyst.
Nazim had been absent from active duty at the club since an altercation with a police officer in Dormaa several months ago during a BetPawa Premier League match between Aduana and Kotoko.
Local media reports suggested that the Algerian analyst had allegedly slapped the police officer following an off-pitch misunderstanding during the matchday.
Since then, Nazim had not been actively fulfilling his responsibilities, especially after the dismissal of coach Seydou Zerbo.
Our investigations have revealed that the Algerian analyst had been in Ghana for the past few weeks, awaiting the settlement of his salary arrears before his departure.
According to insider sources at the club, two months’ worth of arrears owed to Nazim were cleared over the weekend. The source further disclosed that Nazim has since returned to Algeria.
Kotoko appointed the Algerian analyst in September 2022, a month after the appointment of Coach Seydou Zerbo as the head coach of the club.
