Atlético Madrid are reportedly on the verge of signing Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus from Tottenham Hotspur, after reaching a verbal agreement with the 24-year-old midfielder.
According to Top Skills Sports UK, Kudus has agreed to a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Spanish giants as manager Diego Simeone looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.
The report indicates that Atlético’s management is currently negotiating with Tottenham over the transfer fee, with a formal agreement expected soon. Once financial terms are settled, the move is likely to be officially announced by the Spanish club.
Sources also suggest that fluctuating form among some Premier League clubs could work in Atlético Madrid’s favour, potentially allowing them to secure Kudus at a reduced transfer fee during the summer window.
Since joining Tottenham, Kudus has established himself as one of the team’s most creative and versatile players, impressing with his pace, attacking intelligence, and goal contributions, making him a key target for Atlético’s ambitious recruitment plans.
