FC Nordsjaelland has confirmed the transfer of Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah to Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League side, RWD Molenbeek.

In addition to this transfer, the Danish Superliga club has revealed that the 19-year-old Black Stars forward has been directly loaned to Olympique Lyonnais, a French club.

Eagle Football, the entity behind Olympique Lyonnais, maintains ownership of both clubs, which includes the newly promoted Belgian top-flight club, RWD Molenbeek.

FC Nordsjaelland conveyed this information through an official statement on their website, marking their farewell to the dynamic teenage sensation.

For the complete statement, please refer below:

“After a busy summer with interest from major leagues, Ernest Nuamah has now chosen the next step in his career. The 19-year-old striker has set his sights on the French powerhouse Olympique Lyonnais.“

“Player of the Year in the 3F Superliga. Young Player of the Year in the 3F Superliga. Ernest Nuamah collected several awards after a fantastic 2022/23 season and even began the new season with a hat-trick and the accolade of Player of the Month.“

“His strong performances have elevated FC Nordsjælland and simultaneously garnered significant interest from clubs in the biggest leagues. This interest belongs to a class that turns the next step in his career into a record-breaking transfer in the Nordic region, providing Ernest Nuamah with various choices on the grand stages of football.“

“The decision has fallen on French Olympique Lyonnais. Consequently, FC Nordsjælland has concluded negotiations with the ownership group, Eagle Football, which means that Ernest Nuamah will transfer to the Belgian club RWD Molenbeek and then be directly loaned to Olympique Lyonnais.“
