Asante Kotoko has formally announced the acquisition of promising young forward Bernard Somuah on a three-year contract.
During the team’s pre-season training sessions, the gifted winger’s standout performances caught the attention of the technical staff under the leadership of Prosper Narteh Ogum.
The exciting youngster had his medical on Tuesday in Kumasi and signed the dotted lines which will keep him at the club until 2026.
Before joining Asante Kotoko, Somuah had been actively involved with the Colts side, Afigya Liberty.
Somuah scored 22 goals last season for his former club and has become an instant fans favourite in the three games he has featured for Kotoko.
His exceptional display in Asante Kotoko’s recent dominant victory of 5-1 against Cornerstone FC stood out, with Somuah contributing two goals to the scoreline. Additionally, he secured the decisive goal in the club’s 1-0 pre-season friendly win over Asekem on a Wednesday afternoon.
Clearly, his dynamic and impactful presence on the field has earned him a coveted contract with Kotoko, a testament to his potential and performance.
