Black Stars deputy captain Thomas Partey will be joining Arsenal’s USA pre-season tour next week after initially being excluded from the trip.
The Ghanaian international was left out of the traveling squad to allow him to continue his recovery in England before joining the rest of the team in America.
Partey has been training with the Gunners for several weeks now after reporting for preseason following a short break in Ghana. He recently played in Arsenal’s 3-3 draw against German outfit Nurnberg.
In a decision to ensure their full recovery, Arsenal has chosen to leave both Partey and Emile Smith Rowe behind, giving them more time to recuperate before they join their teammates in the North American country.
The Gunners will kick off their tour with a match against the MLS All-Stars team at Audi Field, Washington D.C on Wednesday, July 19.
They will then face Manchester United in the MetLife Stadium on Saturday, July 22, in New Jersey before concluding their tour with a game against Barcelona on Wednesday, July 26, at SoFi Stadium.
