RMC Sport report this morning that a meeting is set to take place between Robert Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi and Bayern Munich, in which the former will ask for the Polish striker to be allowed to go.
The 33-year-old’s contract expires at the end of next season, and his intention is to leave Bavaria at the end of the season, having been frustrated with the lack of talks initiated from the club.
With Lewandowski’s goalscoring rate remaining at his usual dizzying heights – 46 goals in all competitions this season – a high-profile transfer this summer could be set to take place.
Foot Mercato, for instance, have indicated that there has been contact between the Pole’s entourage and Barcelona, with the Blaugrana reportedly prepared to offer a three-year deal.
