On March 29th, Twitter brought together fans, key partners and sports voices to watch the Ghana vs Nigeria Worldcup qualifier at @TwitterGhana’s first ever watch party and #TweetSuite event – also the first of its kind on the continent.
The turnout was amazing and the roar of the stadium was brought to life following Ghana’s win.

Guests in attendance included sports journalist Juliet Bawuah who Tweeted about the tense atmosphere during the match, social media influencer and Spaces host Kalijay Tweeted some photos from the event, and food/travel blogger Zubaidah also Tweeted a video of fans celebrating Ghana’s win.
Bernard Sokpe, Senior Partner Manager at Twitter, also put out a Tweet expressing his excitement about Twitter’s debut TweetSuite event in Africa and congratulating the Black Stars.
