Roc Nation Sports International has announced the launch of its first-ever youth football tournament in Africa, the Roc Cup, set to take place in Accra from February 23 to 28, 2026.
The tournament will be hosted at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, a 10,000-capacity facility, with all matches open to the public free of charge to ensure wide access and participation.
The Roc Cup will feature 10 elite youth teams drawn from five African countries: Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, and Guinea. Participating teams include Benab FC, Zilina Africa, Fadama Field Masters, Semper Fi, and Empire FC from Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, alongside Nigeria’s Tripple 44 FC and Sporting Lagos, Guinea’s SOAR Academy, Cameroon’s Kadji Sports Academy, and Racing Club d’Abidjan from Côte d’Ivoire.
The competition is designed to provide a strong European pathway for young African talents, offering a high-level platform where players can be identified by both international and African scouts expected to attend the event.
Organisers say the long-term goal is to establish the Roc Cup as a sustainable annual tournament and a key fixture on the African youth football calendar, dedicated to developing and promoting the continent’s next generation of stars.
