Ghanaian defender Ismael Abdul Ganiyu is set to see out his one year contract with Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, Sportsworldghana.com understands.
According to information available to us, the former club captain of the Porcupine Warriors has reached an agreement with the club to play for the club for the remainder of his contract.
He was recently replaced as the captain of the club after he requested for his contract to be terminated by the club with former Medeama SC player Richard Boadu taking over the captaincy.
He led the Porcupine Warriors in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season to win their first League title in eight years to qualify the team to play in the CAF Champions League competition.
He recently asked the club to terminate his contract with the club and is currently going to serve his one year contract left.
