Ghanaian defender Denis Odoi is set to join Royal Antwerp FC from Club Brugge when his contract expires at the end of this month, with the deal reportedly in its advanced stages.
According to sources, Odoi and the club have reached an agreement on personal terms.
Once the transfer is finalized, Odoi will don the number 6 jersey at Royal Antwerp. However, there are still a few loose ends that need to be tied up, with discussions expected to take place within the week to settle these last details.
Following his imminent move, Odoi is scheduled to undergo medical tests with Royal Antwerp in the coming week.
Although he didn’t feature prominently for Club Brugge in the recently concluded season, Odoi played a crucial role towards the end, scoring the winning goal in the penultimate game against Anderlecht, securing the Belgium Pro League title for his team.
During his time at Club Brugge, Odoi made 24 appearances in the league, with only ten of those as a starter.
Despite limited playing time, he managed to find the back of the net twice, showcasing his ability to make an impact when given the opportunity.
