Asante Kotoko have expressed interest in Real Tamale United’s midfielder, Manaf Umar, and may make a move for him at the end of the season, according to Ghanasoccernet.com.
Umar, who previously played for Hearts of Oak, has been a key player for RTU this season, contributing nine goals and four assists across all competitions.
Despite the reported interest, Umar has not yet made a decision about his future and is focused on helping RTU avoid relegation.
Along with Issah Kuka, who is rumored to be returning to mother club Hearts of Oak, Umar has been instrumental in RTU’s campaign this season.
Umar has scored five goals in the ongoing betPawa Premier League in 29 games and is currently the leading topscorer in the MTN FA Cup with five goals in four games.
Asante Kotoko, who are currently sixth on the Ghana Premier League table, may look to strengthen their squad after a challenging 2022/23 season.
