Galatasaray have acknowledged FC Spartak Moscow’s interest in Ghanaian left-back Derrick Köhn amid reports that the Russian club has made an offer for the player.
According to Turkish media, Spartak Moscow submitted a bid for Köhn, but it was rejected as it fell short of his €2.5 million per season valuation.
Galatasaray’s sporting director, Cenk Ergün, confirmed the approach but noted that Köhn has not shown interest in pursuing the offer.
Speaking to Sporx, Ergün stated: “There was a transfer request for Köhn, and we received an official offer. However, the player chose not to consider it. There are no new developments at the moment. We have one month left in the transfer window, and while there could be further offers or changes, there is no current process.”
Spartak Moscow is reportedly preparing a revised offer to secure Köhn’s services during the ongoing transfer window.
Köhn’s contract with Galatasaray runs until June 2026, and his current transfermarkt valuation suggests that the Russian club would need to meet a €6 million price tag to acquire him this summer.
Despite representing Germany at the U19 level, Köhn remains eligible to play for Ghana at the international level due to his Ghanaian heritage.
