Edmund Ackah, General Manager of Samartex, has leveled accusations against certain factions within the football community, alleging a concerted effort to derail the club’s quest for its inaugural Ghana Premier League title.
Ackah claims that these individuals are resorting to underhanded tactics and nefarious schemes to hinder Samartex’s progress, particularly with just five matches remaining in the season.
Speaking on Oyerepa FM, he decried what he referred to as the use of “dark arts” and “diabolical minds” by those seeking to undermine the club’s success.
“Some individuals believe, with just five matches remaining in the GPL they can work against Samartex and win the league with their ‘dark arts’ and diabolic minds. I see those people as not being intelligent enough,” he said on Oyerepa FM.
With Samartex holding a commanding seven-point lead in the league standings, Ackah emphasized the pivotal nature of the upcoming fixtures against Bofoakwa Tano, Heart of Lions, and Bibiani Gold Stars, which could seal their championship triumph.
Despite the challenges posed by nearest contenders such as Nations FC, Accra Lions, and Aduana FC, Ackah remains resolute in his condemnation of perceived sabotage attempts, asserting the club’s determination to overcome adversity and clinch the coveted league title.
