Former Hearts of Oak coach, Samuel Boadu, refrained from discussing the possibility of returning to the club in the event of an opportunity arising.
Boadu, who led the team to five trophies during his two-year tenure, left the club midway through the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
However, Hearts of Oak has been struggling in the ongoing 2023/24 season under the leadership of Martin Koopman. The club has managed just one win in six games played, with one game yet to be played.
Amidst disappointing results, fans of the club have called for Boadu’s return. However, when questioned by Graphic Sports about the prospect of returning to his former role, the coach expressed his reluctance to discuss the matter.
“I am sorry, I don’t want to talk about this,” said Boadu, who is currently serving as the head coach of the Ghana U-20 side.
Samuel Boadu is also in charge of the lower division team, Kumasi Cornerstones. As of now, Hearts of Oak is in 16th place on the league table with six points.
The Phobians are scheduled to host Medeama SC in the matchday eight fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, with the kick-off at 15:00 GMT.
