Scottish Premiership side St Mirren have reached an agreement to sign Ghana Under-20 international Abdul Hakim Sulemana, with the talented attacker now on the verge of completing a move to Scotland.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 20-year-old is scheduled to undergo a medical within the next 24 hours before the transfer is officially completed.
The move represents another significant step in Sulemana’s rapidly progressing European career, having already gained valuable experience in both France and Denmark.
A product of Ghana’s renowned Right to Dream Academy, Sulemana secured a move to French giants Olympique Lyon in 2023, where he spent a season developing in the club’s academy setup before joining Danish outfit Randers FC in 2024.
Seeking regular first-team football, the Ghanaian was loaned to Danish First Division side Hillerød Fodbold during the 2025/26 campaign, where he continued his development and impressed with his performances.
His displays have now earned him an opportunity in the Scottish Premiership, with St Mirren moving quickly to secure his signature ahead of the new season.
Sulemana is regarded as one of Ghana’s promising young attacking talents and has represented the country at Under-20 level, earning recognition for his pace, technical quality and versatility in the final third.
The switch to St Mirren offers the youngster another platform to continue his development in European football while further strengthening the growing presence of Ghanaian players in the Scottish top flight.
Barring any last-minute complications during his medical, Sulemana is expected to complete the move and join his new teammates ahead of the start of the 2026/27 Scottish Premiership season.
