FIFA has designated Senegalese referee SY Issa to officiate the crucial match between Madagascar and Ghana in the sixth round of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers for Group I.
Issa, an experienced referee, has officiated several high-profile international matches, including FIFA World Cup qualifiers and Africa Cup of Nations fixtures.
Assisting him in the match will be fellow Senegalese officials—Camara Djibril as Assistant Referee I, Bangoura Nouha as Assistant Referee II, and SY Elhadji Amadou as the Fourth Official. Additionally, Lim Kee Chong An Yan from Mauritius has been assigned as the Referee Assessor, while Brown Ivan Gartor from Liberia will serve as the Match Commissioner.
The fixture is set to take place at the Grand Stade d’Al Hoceima in Morocco on Monday, March 24, 2025, with kickoff scheduled for 19:00 Hrs.
Ghana currently sits in second place in Group I, having amassed nine points from four matches, with three victories and one defeat. The Black Stars will be aiming for another crucial win as they push for World Cup qualification.
