Crosby Awuah Memorial Park, once the vibrant home venue of Karela United, has now deteriorated into a dilapidated structure following the club’s relocation from Anyinase to Tamale.
After the takeover of the club by Haruna Iddrisu, the once admired CAM Park has reportedly been left abandoned and exposed to harsh weather conditions, leading to its rapid deterioration.
The stadium was among the first astro turf facilities to host Ghana Premier League matches, alongside the Tema Sports Stadium and the WAFA Park in Sogakope.
Football supporters in Anyinase have since appealed to the family of the late Mr. Brigidi and the area MP, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, to help renovate and restore the stadium to its former state.
