Skyy FC and Swedru All Blacks in talks with WAFA Coach, Banabas Awuni

Skyy FC and Swedru All Blacks, have commenced discussions with the current West African Football Academy (WAFA) gaffer to become their new Head coach ahead of the upcoming 2023/234 season.

In an exclusive interview, Awuni confirmed that talks are indeed, ongoing between him and the two clubs, hinting at a potential move ahead of the start of the season Ghana football season.

According to Awuni, both Skyy FC and Swedru All Blacks have reached out to his agent expressing their interest in acquiring his services. Although he acknowledged the discussions, he emphasized that no concrete decisions have been made regarding his next move. ”As of now, he is on a break in the Ashanti region but plans to return to Accra shortly to meet with his agent and assess the available options,” He mentioned.

He continued that: “Yeah, it’s true both teams have contacted my agent and were in talks anything is possible my contract with WAFA is not yet done but no decision made yet on my next move as am currently in the Ashanti Region for holidays. I will return to Accra soon to meet with my agent to see the way forward.”

Banabas Awuni has gained recognition for his tactical acumen and ability to develop young talents. His tenure with WAFA has been marked by notable achievements, contributing to the team’s success in the Ghana Premier League. His coaching style and commitment to nurturing young players have earned him a solid reputation within the football fraternity.

Skyy FC, based in the Western Region, and Swedru All Blacks, from the Central Region, are both ambitious clubs aiming to make significant strides in Ghanaian football.
