Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has lashed out at some individuals of the Ghana Olympic Football team, the Black Meteors after their elimination.

Ghana failed to live up to expectations as they lost out on goal difference to to the National Elephants of Guinea on Friday evening at Ibn Batouta Stadium on June 30.

According to Gyan, some of the players of the Black Meteors team feel they are bigger than the whole team which he believes contributed to the team’s elimination.

“What I saw in this Black meteors team is some players think they are bigger than the whole team. Small hype and fame ? SHM.”

“Modern football is not about only what you do with the ball. It’s about what you do without the ball. I see players thinking the can play alone. It’s about time we wake up and defend when we lose the ball. SMH”, he Tweeted.

Gyan was part of the last Olympic team from Ghana to play at the FIFA Olympic games in Greece, Athens in 2004 and sounded disappointed after the elimination.
