Assistant coach of Heart of Lions, Daniel Nii Adjei, has encouraged Asante Kotoko supporters to remain united and patient with the team after their 1-0 defeat at home in a Matchday 9 clash.
The loss, inflicted by a decisive goal from Kwadwo Obeng Junior, marked a setback for the Porcupine Warriors, who now sit third in the Ghana Premier League standings with 15 points.
Heart of Lions’ victory at the Len Clay Sports Stadium was their third of the season, propelling them to 7th place with 14 points. Nii Adjei, a former Kotoko player himself, acknowledged the disappointing result but emphasized the importance of supporting head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum as he works to strengthen the team.
“Coach Ogum is working hard, and I don’t believe he’s under pressure after two losses out of nine games. He’s actually doing very well,” Nii Adjei told Kessben FM. “Even Manchester City, last season’s Premier League champions, lost over the weekend. In life, you can’t win every game—there will always be setbacks.”
Asante Kotoko will aim to rebound in their upcoming Week 10 fixture against Bechem United on Sunday, November 10, where they hope to secure a positive result and boost morale among their fans.
