Ghanaian promising defender defender Stephen Acquah has just extended his contract with FC Nordsjælland, with his new contract expiring in 2030.
The 19-year-old is another example of the strong collaboration between the Right to Dream academy in Ghana andFC Nordsjælland. Acquah joined Farum in the summer of 2024 and was promoted from the U19 team to the Superliga squad within six months, and on March 30, 2025, he made his Superliga debut as a substitute in the away game against AGF.
Since then, he has played 19 more games in the top Danish league, while he also played in three cup games during the autumn, so he is already listed for 22 games and has played five of them from the start throughout this autumn. And it should also be mentioned that he has already scored two goals, with the late equalizer against Brøndby in the spring’s 2-2 match being particularly memorable.

Foototball Director Alexander Riget had this to say on the player’s fresh deal with the club: ”Stephen has developed a lot over the past year, and the autumn matches have shown that he is ready to fight for minutes in the Super League.
”He has good physical potential, so he can handle himself in one-on-one duels, and at the same time he also has a nice calmness with the ball. he said.
”He is also versatile, because even though we see him as a center-back, he can also play right-back, for example. – So we are happy to have extended Stephen’s contract so that he can continue his development here with us, and together we have made a good plan for his future.”
The Ghanaian defender afater signing the new contract also said: ”I’m happy that I have now extended my contract with FC Nordsjælland, because it is something I have worked hard for. I was very proud when I made my debut in the Superliga, and now I am just looking forward to the future.”
