Ghanaian teenager Francis Gyimah has officially joined English Championship side Stoke City, the club has confirmed.

The 17-year-old left-back, who was released by Liverpool this summer, has signed professional terms with Stoke and will feature for the U23 team in the Premier League 2 next season.

Academy Director Gareth Owen expressed delight at securing Gyimah’s signature, describing him as an athletic left-back with enormous potential.

Owen noted that Gyimah spent the latter part of last season with Stoke following an agreement with Liverpool and impressed with his physical output, defensive skills, and attacking prowess.

Given his Ghanaian parentage, Gyimah could be a future asset for the Black Stars.

The talented youngster has already shown promise and will be expected to develop further under Stoke’s guidance.

”Gyimah is an athletic left-back, who comes highly recommended from with an enormous amount of potential.”

”Left-backs with his physical output who can defend and attack are in short supply in professional football, so we are delighted he has joined us.” said Stoke City while announcing the deal.

This move marks an exciting milestone in Gyimah’s career, and fans will be eager to see him in action for Stoke City and potentially the Ghana national team in the future.
