Ghanaian defender Jonas Adjei Adjetey has been promoted to the first team of Swiss side FC Basel,Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The 19-year-old, who joined the club from Berekum Chelsea last season, is training with the first team ahead of the 2023-24 season.
He has been impressive with the youth team since he joined the club and has been rewarded with a chance to prove himself for the club this upcoming season.
He previously played for Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics FC before moving to Chelsea and subsequently moving to Europe to join the Red and Blues.
