Tanzanian media reports suggest that Simba SC is interested in signing Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala.
The reports indicate that Simba SC is preparing a deal worth approximately $150,000 to acquire the former Vipers FC player from the Ghanaian giants.
Steven Dese Mukwala has been impressive for Asante Kotoko since joining the team on a free transfer from Ugandan club URA FC. The 23-year-old striker has made 22 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals eight in the Premier League and two in the FA Cup, and providing five assists.
Mukwala’s outstanding performances in the Ghana Premier League have earned him a call-up to the Uganda national team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania.
Simba SC, who currently sit in second place in the Tanzania Premier League with 57 points after 24 games, already has former Bechem United striker Augustine Okrah in their squad.
