Ghanaian footballer Tariq Lamptey has made a triumphant return to training with Brighton and Hove Albion after overcoming an injury setback.
The Black Stars defender sustained the injury during a UEFA Europa League match against Olympique Marseille on October 5, 2023, sidelining him from both club and national team duties.
Lamptey’s absence was notable, as he missed key fixtures, including the Black Stars’ international friendlies against Mexico and the USA and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers versus Madagascar and Comoros. However, the talented defender has successfully recovered and is now back in training with the Brighton squad.
His return is not only a positive development for Brighton but also a significant boost for the Black Stars of Ghana.
With Lamptey back in action, he is anticipated to feature in the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, scheduled to take place between January and February 2024 in Ivory Coast.
