Asante Kotoko is set to face the newly promoted team, Heart of Lions, at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Under the leadership of Dr. Nartey Ogum, Asante Kotoko has assembled a formidable starting XI for their match against Kpando Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Stadium tonight.
It’s been eight years since Lions last participated in the Ghana Premier League, with their relegation in 2015 after finishing 14th in the 16-club league.
In their recent encounters, Asante Kotoko has secured one victory in the last two matches against Heart of Lions. However, Heart of Lions has also managed to claim one victory in their last two meetings, with results of Heart of Lions 3-1 Asante Kotoko and Asante Kotoko 4-0 Heart of Lions.
As part of their preparations, Asante Kotoko has reappointed their former head coach, Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum, and has also made several key signings, including Yussif Nurudeen Mohammed, Sampson Asamoah, Nanabayin Amoah, Baba Yahaya, Kalo Ouattara, and Henry Ansu.
