Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama SC defeated Guinea’s Horoya FC in the CAF Champions League final preliminary round first leg encounter.
The Tarkwa-based side took the visitors to the cleaners at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
The first half ended goalless with both teams not being able to utilize their chances but the second half produced 4 goals.
Goals from Nana Kofi Babil, Nurudeen Abdulai and Kofi Asmah ensured the Tarkwa-based club secured an empathic victory over the visitors who pulled a late consolation through Mohamed Amine Fofana.
The return leg is scheduled for Saturday, September 30 in Conakry, Guinea.
The winner of the tie qualifies to the group stages of 2023/2024 CAF Champions League.
