Ghanaian international Alidu Seidu is brimming with excitement after contributing to the Black Stars’ successful qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Black Stars secured their qualification on Thursday with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Central African Republic in Kumasi, which propelled Ghana to the top of their group.
Seidu, a steadfast defender from Clermont Foot, displayed exceptional defensive prowess as Ghana overcame a deficit to clinch victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Following the match, Seidu took to social media to share his joy regarding Ghana’s AFCON qualification. He tweeted, “QUALIFICATION 2024 AFCON … THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT.”
The Black Stars have returned to Accra and will immediately commence preparations for an upcoming friendly match against Liberia.
