Midfielder Mohammed Sheriff believes Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC deserved their first win over the Academy Boys in Sogakope after the 1-0 victory on Saturday afternoon.
The midfielder says the game was a very difficult one but they fought really hard to get the job done to keep them as favourite to win this year’s league Title.
According to him, the win over the West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) SC was a deserved victory.
Sherrif was very pivotal in the game as he controlled the midfield for the Porcupine Warriors who bounced back from two consecutive defeats to grab their first win away at WAFA.
“That was a hard fought win . We deserved it”, Asante Kotoko midfielder Mohammed Sheriff wrote on social media after WAFA win.
