Black Stars defender Mohammed Salisu has stated that his teammates are ready for the World Cup and is delighted after scoring his first Black Stars goal.

Salisu found the net alongside Antoine Semenyo as Ghana beat Switzerland 2-0 in a friendly on Thursday.

“It’s a great feeling. We had a good game and the boys are ready,” he said after the match. “We just need to focus and we can go through,” he added.

“From our performance, it is a big motivation for us. It’s a big performance from the boys. We did well and I hope we will do well at the World Cup.

“It’s a good feeling and I am very happy to score my first goal for the Black Stars.”
