The CAF Women’s Champions League 2023 PREVIEW

The 3rd edition of the CAF WCL kicks off on  Sunday 5th November 2023 in Ivory Coast. Here, SPORTSWORLDGHANA gives all the details you need to know.

Dates: 5th-19th November  

Host:  Ivory Coast

Cities: Korhogo and San Pedro

Group A

Group A features Ivorian champions Athletico FC d’Abidjan, debutants SC Casablanca of Morocco, JKT Queens of Tanzania and the maiden edition winners, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC.

Group B

Group B consists of 2022 winners AS FAR, debutants Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC of Ghana, Huracanes F.C of Equatorial Guinea and AS Mande of Mali.

Group stages schedule

Group A,

at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium at Korhogo

MD1: 5th November

• Athletico d’Abidjan vs Sporting Club Casablanca (5pm)
• JKT Queens vs Mamelodi Sundowns (8pm)

MD2: 8th November

• Athletico FC Abidjan vs JKT Queens (5pm)
• Mamelodi Sundowns vs Sporting Club Casablanca (8pm)

MD3: 11th November

• Mamelodi Sundowns vs Athletico FC Abidjan,  (8pm)
• Sporting Club Casablanca vs JKT Queens
(San Pedro),  (8pm)

Group B

at Laurent Pokou Stadium,  San Pedro

MD1: 6th November

ASFAR CLUB vs Ampem Darkoa (5pm)
Huracanes FC vs As Mande (8pm)

MD2: 09 November

ASFAR CLUB vs Huracanes (5 pm)
AS Mande vs Ampem Darkoa (8pm)

MD3: 12th November
AS Mande vs ASFAR CLUB (8pm)
Ampem Darkoa vs Huracanes ( Korhogo),  (8pm)

Semi-finals

15th November

• Semi-final 1 at Korhogo:  Ist in Group A vs 2nd in Group B (5pm)

• Semi-final 2 at San Pedro: 1st in Group B vs 2nd in A (8pm)

3rd place match

18th November at Korhogo: losers of both semi-finals (8pm)

Finals

19 November at Korhogo:  winners of both semi-finals (8pm)
