Milovan Rajevac has been sacked as head coach of the Black Stars following Ghana’s disastrous campaign at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, the Ghana Football Association has announced.
The Serbian trainer , 68, returned to the Ghana national team for a second stint , after leaving in 2010.
Milo made big name not only in Ghana but the whole of Africa after taking the Black Stars to the quarter-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup but his second coming has proven to be a failure.
He took over the Black Stars in October 2021 when C.K Akonnor was sacked following an away defeat against South Africa in a 2022 World Cup qualifier.
At the 2021 AFCON, with Milo in charge, Ghana contested three games – zero wins, one draw and 2 defeats including a 3-2 damaging loss to tournament debutants Comoros. As a result the Black Stars crushed out of the competition making it the worst ever the team has seen.
In all Milovan Rajevac oversaw 8 games as Ghana head coach – 3 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats including the 3-0 friendly reverse against Algeria. His team scored 9 goals and conceded 10.
