Black Stars defender Tariq Lamptey has applauded the talented players in Asamankese after he visited the town with his foundation as part of his charity works.
The Brighton and Hove Albion star was present with the Tariq Lamptey Foundation as they made donations to two schools and two teams in Asamankese.
The donation was preceded by a football game between Young Kotoko FC and Nana Kodie FC with the former claiming a 1-0 victory to emerge winners.
Having watched the game, Tariq praised the talents in the community and expressed his satisfaction with his presence.
“The standard of play was very very good so well done to all the boys thank you for having me and there is some great talent on show,” he said
“I thank God for the position that I am in and I feel like it’s important to help the kids because everybody deserves a chance and I think as you can see today there was some fantastic talent on show,” he added.
The game was witnessed by Tariq Lamptey, members of his foundation, Managing Director for Multi Choice Ghana Alex Okyere and the Chief and elders of Asamankese.
