Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus described West Ham United’s triumph over Manchester United as a special gift to the club’s fans.
The in-form attacker found the net again, contributing to the Hammers’ victory at the London Olympic Stadium.
After a goalless first half, Jarrod Bowen broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute, followed by Kudus securing the win just six minutes later.
“As an attacker, this is what I am here to do, to put the ball in the net. Most importantly, we got the three points, and I am happy for the fans because this is the last game before Christmas. This is a perfect gift for them, and we wish them a happy Christmas. They will enjoy from this,” Kudus expressed post-match.
With nine goals across all competitions for West Ham United, the 23-year-old, who joined from Ajax Amsterdam in the summer transfer window, has swiftly become a cult-hero among the Hammers’ faithful.
