The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled plans to distribute a significant monetary incentive among the top 10 clubs in the Premier League upon the culmination of the 2023/24 football season, amounting to over GHS1 million.
This declaration was made by Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku during the launch of the upcoming Premier League season, held at a ceremony in Koforidua, Eastern Region, on Tuesday.
Addressing the attendees, the GFA President revealed that the victor of the league in the upcoming season will be awarded a substantial prize of GHS500,000.
Furthermore, the clubs securing the second and third positions will also be beneficiaries, receiving GHS200,000 and GHS100,000 respectively.
Kurt Okraku underlined that the augmented financial support injected into the Ghana Premier League is aimed at heightening its competitive edge.
“To enhance the competitiveness of the league, the Ghana Football Association is set to provide rewards for the top ten placements in the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League,” stated Kurt Okraku.
The eagerly anticipated 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season is slated to kick off in September.
