Tanzania delivered a controlled and confident performance to defeat Mozambique 3–0 in convincing fashion.
From the outset, Tanzania dictated the tempo with sharp passing and aggressive attacking transitions that repeatedly unsettled the Mozambican defence.
Their dominance was rewarded in the 27th minute when Dismas Athanasi calmly finished inside the box to open the scoring.
Pressure continued to mount on Mozambique, and misfortune struck again in the 35th minute when Pascoal Miambo turned the ball into his own net, extending Tanzania’s lead before the interval.
After the break, Tanzania maintained control and sealed the victory in the 63rd minute through Razaki Mbegelendi, who completed a well-constructed team move. The result reflected their superiority across all areas of the pitch.
