Ben Hamouda who was accompanied by his friend died following the car accident in the Dowada region, west of the Algerian capital.
After receiving the news of the player’s death, the Al-Ittihad club of Algiers, which was present in the city of Setif, returned in anticipation of facing the local reconciliation tomorrow, Saturday, in the thirty-fourth and final round of the league competition.
It is noteworthy that Benhamouda scored the second goal for the Algerian team in the match in which it defeated its counterpart the Democratic Republic of the Congo 3-0 on the evening of Thursday, at the end of the second round of the friendly four-way tournament hosted by Algeria in preparation for the African Nations Cup for local players.
