Bofoakwa Tano has successfully completed the signing of former Asante Kotoko defender Charles Owusu.
The highly skilled left-back has committed to a two-year contract with the GPL returnees, following the completion of a mandatory medical examination.
Owusu’s transfer to Bofoakwa Tano comes as a free move, as his contract with Asante Kotoko was terminated several weeks ago.
Having been deemed surplus to requirements at Asante Kotoko, Owusu garnered substantial interest from multiple clubs within the domestic league, but Bofoakwa emerged as the ultimate destination.
He had joined Asante Kotoko two seasons ago, transferring from the lower-tier side BA United, and had signed a three-year deal.
Owusu’s contributions played a significant role in Asante Kotoko’s triumphant campaign, culminating in their victory in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
