Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman started and played 69 minutes for Atlanta in the goalless draw against celtic in Bergamo.

Both Massadio Haidara (Mali) and Abdallah Sima (Senegal) started for Brest in the 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen. Mama Balde of Guinea Bissau played the last 25 minutes for the French side, Mali’s Kamory Doumbia came on in the 82nd minute while Morocco’s Ibrahim Salah played the last 19 minutes. Senegalese defender Abdoulaye Ndiaye was an unused substitute for Brest.

Nathan Tella (Nigeria), Amine Adli (Morocco) and Edmund Tapsoba (Burkina Faso) featured for Bayer Leverkusen.

Mohammed Bayo (Guinea) and Aissa Mandi (Algeria) started for Lille against Atletico Madrid. Sarahoui (Morocco) and Mandava (Mozambique) were used substitutes for Lille and Atletico Madrid respectively. Lille won 3-1 in Madrid.

Young Moroccan defender Adam Aznou was an unused substitute by Bayern Munich in their 4-1 thrashing by Barcelona.

Burkina Faso right back Issa Kabore did not get a minute from the bench in Benfica’s 3-1 defeat at home against Feyenoord. Ghanaian youngster Ibrahim Osman played 59 minutes for Feyenoord while Algerian duo Zerouki and Hadj Moussa were on the bench for the Dutch side with the latter enjoying 16 mins.

Nigeria striker Victor Olatunji played 60 mins for Sparta Praha at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City. The Czech Republic club was smashed 5-0 by the English champions.

Amadou Haidara (Mali) amd Mohammed Salah (Egypt) started for Leipzig and Liverpool respectively with the English club winning 1-0.

Mamady Diambou ( Mali) and Karim Konate (Ivory Coast) started for the struggling Salzburg in the 2-0 defeat against Dinamo Zaghreb at home. Malian youngsters Daouda Guindo and Dorgeles Nene came on from the bemch for Salzburg.

Nathaniel Mbuku (DR Congo) and Sammy Mmaee (Morocco) did not feature from the bench for Dinamo Zaghreb.

Six Africans were in the matchday squad for Young Boys against Inter Milan. Congo’s Silvere Ganvoula and Jaouen Hadjam of Algeria started in the 1-0 defeat against Inter Milan.
Mohammed Camara (Guinea), Ebrima Colley (Gambia), Elia Meshack (DR Congo) and Cheikh Niasse (Senegal) were in the substitutes list.
