Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has emerged as the winner of the Golden Boot Award in the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League season.
The French player scored 15 goals and added an assist in 11 games in the competition to win the goal king race.
Real Madrid crashed out of the tournament at the quarterfinal stage after losing 6-4 on aggregate to Bayern Munich.
His 16 overall goal contributions fell just short of Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s 17 goal contributions he registered in 16 games in the tournament as PSG won the title for the second year in a row.
However, Mbappe didn’t make it to the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season as Bayern’s Harry Kane and PSG’s Ousmane Dembele filled the strikers’ spots.
Kvaratskhelia on the other hand, made the team of the season after winning the overall best player of the competition award.
Winners PSG had five players included in the team while runners up Arsenal had David Raya, Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes make the team.
