Ghanaian forward Prince Adu Kwabena played a pivotal role for Viktoria Plzen in their thrilling 3-3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.
The former Bechem United starlet featured the full 90 minutes and was instrumental in helping his team fight back to secure a valuable point.
Eintracht Frankfurt took the lead in the 38th minute through Hugo Ekitike, but Viktoria Plzen responded swiftly with a goal from Pavel Sulc just before halftime.
In the second half, Frankfurt appeared to be in control with two quick goals from Junior Dina Ebimbe and Rasmus Kristensen, putting them 3-1 ahead by the 67th minute.
However, Viktoria Plzen showed resilience in the final stages of the match. Adu Kwabena, 22, struck a brilliant goal in the 86th minute to reignite his team’s hopes. The Czech side’s persistence paid off in added time when Vaclav Jemelka netted an equalizer, sealing a hard-fought 3-3 draw.
