Ghanaian midfielder Brendan Wiredu scored for Fleetwood Town in their league win over Exeter on Saturday afternoon.
The 24-year-old scored the game’s second goal in a 3-0 home triumph against Exeter as his side surged up the League One table.
Wiredu has started every league game for Fleetwood since his comeback from injury, and he was handed the nod again this weekend at home.
Ryan Broom opened the scoring for the home side in the sixth minute after being set up by Danny Mayor, and Wiredu doubled the lead for Fleetwood 26 minutes later with Phoenix Patterson providing the assist before the latter went on to score the third before halftime.
Wiredu was replaced in the 69th minute by Xavier Simons.
