United States of America winger Christian Pulisic has identified defensive issues as a top priority for the American team as they prepare for their international friendly match against Ghana.
The highly anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 A.M GMT on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
Both nations are entering the fixture looking to bounce back from recent losses.
The USA suffered a 3-1 defeat to Germany, while Ghana faced a 2-0 loss against Mexico, with both Mexican goals coming in the second half, courtesy of Hirving Lozano and Uriel Antuna.
Pulisic, who scored a goal in the match against Germany, stressed the importance of defensive improvements before facing the Black Stars.
He mentioned, “We will watch some film back, I don’t want to speak too much on it now. There’s some things I think defensively we can work on it for sure and just give it a couple of days turn it around.”
