Veteran Ghanaian coach J.E. Sarpong has issued a stark warning to his colleagues in the profession, cautioning them against taking up the coaching role at troubled Ghana Premier League side Eleven Wonders.
Speaking in a passionate interview on November 27, 2025, Sarpong expressed grave concern over the current state of the club, insisting that the conditions at Eleven Wonders are so dire that no coach can succeed under the existing circumstances.
“I don’t know which coach will go to Eleven Wonders and help them survive,” he lamented. “If any coach dares to go there, you’re digging your own grave.”
His comments come amid rising criticism of the club’s management following reports of poor player welfare, unpaid salaries, and a lack of essential resources—issues previously highlighted by former coach J.E. Sarpong himself.
Eleven Wonders’ struggles in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League have been well documented, with the team rooted at the bottom of the table and still without a win after several matchdays. The ongoing turmoil has raised serious questions about the club’s leadership, planning, and commitment to building a competitive squad.
