Veteran Ghanaian striker John Antwi has completed a transfer to Libyan club Almoroj SC ahead of the upcoming season.
The 32-year-old forward opted to join Almoroj after the expiration of his contract with Dreams FC, where he played a key role in helping the club reach the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Antwi, who is widely regarded for his goalscoring prowess, has had an extensive career across North Africa and the Middle East. He made a name for himself in Egypt, playing for top clubs such as Ismaily, Al Ahly, Misr El-Makasa, and Pyramids. He also had a stint in Saudi Arabia with Al Shabab FC.
In addition to his club success, Antwi was named to the provisional squad for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup and received a senior national team call-up for a World Cup qualifier against Uganda in 2017.
The move to Almoroj SC signals a fresh chapter for Antwi as he brings his wealth of experience and goal-scoring ability to the Libyan league.
